MARCH 2016

Hello Darling Em, You are loving your new school!  We were invited to Grade Two assembly and were proud of you when your name was called about your swimming achievements. In the school holidays you had a sleep over and a special birthday party for Cewpie. Easter was early this year and at the end of March you spent a week with Jeff and Gail at the river.  You even made it into the local magazine!       You got a special East Bunny outfit After being afraid of dogs for so long it is lovely to see you hugging this gentle Labbie, Ethan While you were away there was a huge storm in Durban.  Many trees were uprooted and some roof were blown off houses.  This lamppost fell over in Broadway and a tree fell onto the road where we often walk.

Hello my darling Em, Your last day at school was fun and sad for you.  You received a 'Shining Star" Certificate for "being such a friendly and cheerful little girl and always trying hard to do your best."  A well deserved certificate my darling. On Monday morning Gumpie and I came back from our long weekend in Cape Town.  You and Tammy were there to meet us with a welcome home sign you coloured in for us.   The first thing we did when we...

Hello little Em, You are 8 weeks old today and had to go for your 6-in-1 shots for Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, HIB (Haemophylis Influenza type B Virus) and Hepatitis B. Mark phoned to say that you weigh 4.3kg!! That is really great! But, we can see how you are growing. Your little arms and legs don't look like sticks anymore and you have a little double chin! Last Saturday night you went to your first 60th birthday party! It was Sharon's Dad's birthday and they had a dinner at the Westville Bowling Club. You were so good, only woke up once for a feed and then went straight back to sleep, even with all the noise of the music and laughter. On Monday I popped in to drop some stuff off at your new home and Tammy let me hold you while she sorted out the washing and ironing. You were tired but didn't want to sleep so I spoke to you, sang to you, walked around with you and eventually you closed your eyes and nodded off. On Tuesday I took Patty to visit you...
