OCTOBER 2018 - YOU ARE 10 YEARS OLD!!!

Hello darling Em, I can't believe that you are 10 years old!  It won't seem like it for you but ass you get older time seems to fly past.  It seems like just the other day you came into our lives and now a whole decade has passed and you have grown into a lovely, bright, kind, adventurous young lady ♥ This card, written by your teacher, describes exactly how you are!   You celebrated your 10th Birthday at our house.  Your dance shool had their annual musical presentation and we booked a table for grandparents and aunty Candice.  You looked amazing and your dancing was wonderful! Gumpie had to have a small op for a hernia that was worrying him.  Its a common op so he didn't have to stay in hospital very long. Halloween was at the end of the month and you had fun dressing up and going out in the night.

SEPTEMBER 2018

Hello my darling girl,  You weren't feeling well, but you some company on the bed - a little black puppy who was visiting for a couple of days. On 14 September you received a certificate at assembly so we were invited to attend.  We are always the proudest grandparents and love being there to support you when you are awarded certificates! Once again you had your treatment, followed by an icecream!   You went for a check up with Anthony Zabarowski for your new glasses. He is also our opthalmologist and has been treating my eye problem for some time. You showed Dodo your hamster.  I don't think she was too comfortable holding her! Playing with your Barbie doll at rugby The puppies enjoyed playing catch with you in the garden You hurt your knee and had to rest it.   The McLaren Buggy that your Dad used when he was a boy came in useful! Cake always helps - especially a gorgeous chocolate cake! You are growin up to be a kind,

AUGUST 2018

Hello Em, Sbongile invited us to her daughters 'Umhlonyana' (like our 21st celebration) on 11 Agust.   You wore the traditional outfit that Sbongile gave you for your birthday last year.  It was a challenge to get Mark up a steep, narrow path to the small house where the celebration was held but local men came out and carried him up on his wheelchair, The local children were fascinated with your long blond hair! During July and August Lewis Pugh (a UK born South African) became the first person to swim the full length of the English Channel, from Land's End to Dover , in just his cap, goggles and Speedo swimming trunks You enjoy going out for a skinny cuppuccino after school When you concentrate you stick your tongue out, just like your Dad!
