30 SEPT 2020 - LATEST CONFIRMED CASES OF COVID-19 IN SOUTH AFRICA As of today, the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 674 339 with 1772 new cases identified since the last report. R egrettably, we report 67 more COVID-19 related deaths: 3 from Eastern Cape, 37 from KwaZulu-Natal, 11 from Gauteng, 9 from Western Cape and 7 from the Free State. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 16 734. Our recoveries now stand at 608 112 which translates to a recovery rate of 90% Alert level 1 came into effect from 00h01 on 21 September 2020 Most normal activity can resume, with precautions and health guidelines followed at all times. Movement of persons Every person is confined to his or her place of residence from 00H01 until 04H00 daily, except where a person: (a) has been granted a permission through directions by the relevant Cabinet member, or a permit which corresponds with Form
