Pam treatment every 4 months

Hello my darling,



Last weekend you were in Parklands having your Pamidronate treatment.  Until now you have been going for 3 days every 3 months, having treatment for 3 hours each day.  Now that you weigh 13kg you only have to go again in March next year, and every 4 months thereafter!  YAY!!  That'll make your life easier my darling girl. 
When I visited you the first day I asked you what you had on your hand (it was bandaged to hold the port in place).  You said, "The doctor gave me a mosquito bite." 
 
I had a cold so I didn't want to visit you in the ward.  Mom and Dad brought you to the coffee shop so that we could sit together.  I brought foxy (a red hand-puppet that I think is over 30 years old) and your little St Bernard puppy toy called Sparky.  You were so pleased to see them - like they were real friends come to visit you. 
On Sunday I brought Thandi, your little brown dolly, and Pink Panther. You asked if you come to my house after the hospital and I told you that it was Thandi's birthday and of course you had to come to the party. I bought mini cup-cakes and a few savoury snacks and when Mom and Dad brought you round in the afternoon we had a birthday party for Thandi. There were two candles in a cup-cake and you helped Thandi blow them out.  We sang happy birthday (twice) and ate all the cakes and snacks.  I think we must have a birthday party at least once a month, don't you?

Hello, my daughter has OI type 3 and just turned one year old on october 24th. We also get PAM infusions which started when she was 5 days old. We live in southern California. My email is chelsealush@gmail.com

My darling Em, I was away for most of this month, walking the Camino to Santiago with Gail.  You know that Jeff had a big operation on his throat and neck last year after being diagnosed with throat cancer.  Afterwards he needed chemo and radiation and Gail cared for him and stayed with him during his treatments.  This meant that they couldn't walk with Gumpy and me in Italy to Rome.  Gail was very disappointed but I promised her that when she was ready, I would walk with her in Italy or Spain.  She chose Spain and on 9th May we flew to Spain to start our Camino. Tammy sent us photos of you while we were away and on your Dad's birthday we spoke to you all on Skype.  We missed all the May birthdays and the birthday dinner. You did your 400m swim while we were away.  We were so proud of you Em!! You had an outing with Mecayla. The mermaid swimsuit I'd ordered for you was  delivered - you look great in it - like a princess mermaid!

MAY - JUNE 2023

 Hello my darling! The months are flying by too quickly.  In a few weeks we'll be moving to our new cottage and you'll be flying to your new country! Mark had a farewell function with his team in La Lucia.   Apil/May has a full calendar of birthdays and anniversaries in our families.   29 April - Sharon's birthday and Greg and Sharon's wedding anniversary on 2 May.  (And on the same day Ruby got her Visa to go with you to America!)  15 May - Mark's birthday   26 May Gregs birthday  30 May Mark and Tammy's wedding anniversary.   On 10 June Jeff and Gail had a farewell party for you at Simbithi.   Only the ladies were allowed to say a few words this time. There were too many emotional men talking at Gumpie's 80th birthday and Gail and Tammy decided the ladies could do a better job!
