December is always about school holidays, hanging with friends and Christmas.

You got a lovely school report Em, and you have been promoted to Grade 5 next year - well done!

Well, well, well...... what did I tell you about not knowing what life has in store for you! You are moving to a new home in the Mt Edgecombe Golf Estate at the end of the month.  How wonderful for you and your parents!  It is a gorgeous place to stay, safe, secure, leafy roads to ride your bike on, a swimming pool, great restaurant and I'm sure you will make new friends there too! All the houses have green roofs and are painted white.   They don't have burglar guards, security gates or alarm systems.   We attended the 3rd grade parents and grandparents assembly this month. You had to go up for the trophy for taking the most newspapers to school.  You saved 5 trees!  Well done Emily! On the 16th Feb your class won another trophy! OCTOBER 2022

 On 30 September you and your parents flew from Durban to Johannesburg, then from there to Newark (where you were greeted by a little Lady of Liberty).  Mark holding bottomless plastic jugs of Coke. And then you flew to San Diego on 1 October.  You hired a car, wanted a Mazda but was given a Kia Sportage which you don't recommend. You spent 9 days at the Springhill Suites in Rancho Bernado. You flew over to have a look at house and school districts close to Mark's Office.   You put your feet in the Pacific Ocean, went to a fun fair where you ate Funnel Cake. You drove around San Marcos and Rancho Bernado to look around. You had lunch in the park at a beautful public playground, and on the Wednesday, while Mark was at his meeting with the people in his new office, you and Mom found a shop that makes amazing Cowboy boots.  Your mom had to fill the car with 'fuel' and that night you got to hang out with Sarah and Shawn from Durban North who live in San Diego....

 Ha Ha!  You must wonder why I have included Peppa Pig toys on your blog!  You loved Peppa and knew all of her friends' names, and now Alex plays with them too.  Left to right: Pedro Pony, Susie sheep, Candy cat, Zoe Zebra, Emily elephant and Danny Dog. Sometimes the Pups Patrol come to save the pigs from badies! It was my birthday on 6 August so we went to the Mugg & Bean at Westville Mall for morning tea!  Greg was working but he took time off to come as well. When I told you that Alex is crazy about Super-heros you told me that you had a Ghost Spider It was Richard and Lauren's wedding at Umhlali.  They looked lovely and the reception at Simbithi was gorgeous. Ha Ha!  Mark the UFC fighter! You went to Atlanta for a weekend and Mark was able to to show you where he competed in the 1996 Paralympics.   You went to your first baseball game.
