JANUARY 2021 (2) HELLO DEAR EMILY

Guess where we went?  Yeah - we went to the Game reserve for New Year.  It was our first time, and you and your family's first time away from home in almost a year.

Your mom made special 'DO NOT ENTER' signs to stick onto the door of our cottage at Hilltop and told the management that we didn't want any staff to enter our cottage for cleaning, making beds etc.

We saw wild dog two days, lion, elephant, buffalo and many buck species but no cheetah or leopard

It was hot - very hot - and we kept the air con going in the car but the windows open.  You got to drive a few times when we were on the road instead of dirt trails

We love visiting you guys at your home, and from time to time you come to us, usually so that your Dad to watch rugby with Gumpie 😉  This time at your house your Mom made hamburgers and chips.

Ruby has grown!  She gets very excited when visitors come so Mom leaves in her in crate until everyone settles down.  If she doesn't do that Ruby jumps, grabs shirts and trousers and even makes holes in them!

For a change you had your hair braided.  It looked really cool, especially now that it is growing again.

We also visit Greg, Sharon and little Alex.  Sometime he looks just like your baby doll

We bought you and Alex each a book.  The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is a beautifully illustrated book for children and adults.

Sharon's brother, Anthony and his wife, sent them a blanket with numbers on it and the words, Days, Weeks, Months.  You can lit your baby on the blanket and use the arrows that come with it to mark the weeks and months of your baby's age.  In this photo Alex was 3 weeks old.

Here you are in your tap outfit.  You look so cute and you're doing well at tap.

You are growing up to be a sweet, polite and caring little lady.  You've got a kind heart Em and you are our special princess!

Em. I decided not to continue with the separate posts for the Covid 19 updates this year.  I will add a footnote update on this page every month instead.
